Rainforest Cafe founder Steve Schussler steps down as Kona Grill co-CEO
Just 65 days after taking over as co-CEO of Kona Grill Inc., Steve Schussler has stepped down.
The Scottsdale-based sushi and happy hour restaurant chain announced Schussler’s resignation from the co-CEO job and from the company’s board of directors Thursday afternoon. He served on the board since 2012.

The Grid closes downtown, with new future apparently planned for its space
The Grid, a locally owned eatery that replaced Bennigan's in downtown Sacramento, has closed after just a few months of business.
A sign at the business confirms the closure, which was effective Thursday. The sign suggests there has been an ownership change, and a new bar and restaurant is coming to the space in the spring. Phone calls to the business on Friday yielded no response.

Hōm Wood Fired Grill plans to close this weekend, posing another loss for the struggling Bayshore Town Center in Glendale.
SURG Restaurant group, which owns and operates the restaurant at 5750 N. Port Washington Road, announced its plans in a news release Friday afternoon. SURG decided not to renew a five-year lease for the venue, which opened in 2014.
