Beloved Music Row bar sets closing date
Bobby's Idle Hour Tavern, a Music Row watering hole at the center of Nashville's latest preservation vs. progress debate, will serve its last beer at its longtime home on Jan. 12.
But the decades-old bar may not be gone for good, according to a Facebook post announcing the closure date. The post says the bar will “be resurfacing as soon as we can in a new location,” although it doesn't include specifics on when or where the reopening will occur.

A Dayton-area brewery will open its new location this month.
Eudora Brewing Company will start operations Jan. 11 in its new location at 3022 Wilmington Pike in Kettering. The brewery's new location is 20,000 square feet, roughly six times larger than its previous location at 4716 Wilmington Pike.

Kraft Heinz completes acquisition of Primal Kitchen
Kraft Heinz announced Friday that it had completed its acquisition of Primal Nutrition LLC, makers of Primal Kitchen branded products. The deal was previously announced in November.

Pittsburgh brewery to expand at former missile command center
The old Nike Missile Command Center in Collier Township will be occupied once again. But instead of launching missiles, the building will instead be used for brewing beer.
The old command center will become the new main production facility for Pittsburgh-based Grist House Craft Brewery. The 55,000-square foot space will host a large taproom, retail area and an extensive barrel-aging program.

Floridays Development Co. has filed plans with the Southwest Florida Water Management District for a 118-room, five-story hotel and 7,000-square-foot restaurant near the intersection of Resource Way and Exchange Way, with frontage along Interstate 75.
