Sales of spirits in Washington state increased 5 percent in fiscal 2018, coming in at $654.9 million — and Albertsons is the big winner.

Albertsons also owns Safeway and Haggen, and, as a result, the company is pulling in nearly a quarter of the state's liquor sales, according to an analysis of Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board data. Together the three companies sold $143.7 million in liquor in fiscal 2018, which ended in June 2018.

YAM Circle, a 17,800-square-foot retail and dining project in Scottsdale, has reached 100 percent occupancy with six tenants.

The complex is owned and under development by billionaire Bob Parsons' YAM Properties.

YAM Circle is at Hayden Road and Northsight Boulevard just south of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. That is the former site of Harley-Davidson Scottsdale.

Construction is nearing completion, according to YAM Properties, but an opening date has yet to be announced.

The Wisconsin food and beverage industry experienced a shakeup this week, with Krones Inc. acquiring W.M. Sprinkman Corp.

Krones, the North American subsidiary of German company Krones AG., purchased Sprinkman, a multi-generation family company now based in Waukesha, for an undisclosed amount with the intention of bolstering its product portfolio in North America. Krones employs 500 people at its North American headquarters in Franklin, and will add Sprinkman's 125 employees.

The empty Harp Transmission building in Grant Park has found a new tenant and it's bringing a kitchen. A new restaurant and bar called “The Harp” will replace the old automotive transmission building in Grant Park, What Now Atlanta first reported.
