Dallas-based HomeVestors, the company behind those “We Buy Ugly Houses” ads, was the third fastest-growing franchise by sales in 2017, according to the newly released Franchise Times Top 200+, which ranks the largest franchises in the U.S. by global systemwide sales.

Colorado's a place where you can find a lot of craft beverages — craft beer, craft wineries, craft distilleries — but you couldn't find a craft sake brewery, until Sept. 1.

Cafe Express, a fast-casual chain co-founded by Houston’s chef Robert Del Grande in 1984, has closed longtime locations in Houston and Dallas and its only one in Austin.

Jerrod Johnson, one of Surly Brewing's most senior brewers, has switched beers.

The Growler reports that Johnson, the co-head brewer at Minneapolis-based Surly, has joined Fair State Brewing Cooperative as director of brewing operations.
