Nashville-based restaurant Back Yard Burgers has a new CEO.
Scott Shotter, previously the vice president of operations at Moe's Southwest Grill, is taking over the burger chain, which today operates 51 locations in 11 states. According to a news release, Shotter's nine-year tenure at Moe's included the restaurant's expansion from 200 location to more than 700.

FreshDirect CEO discusses new Bronx facility
FreshDirect is readying a 400,000-square-foot facility in the South Bronx.
The hope is that the new warehouse will allow the New York-based food delivery company to double its business.
That's according to chief executive officer Jason Ackerman, who addressed the complicated New York market in an interview with Bloomberg News.

Black Sheep's new menu items has a variety of dishes, including a take on a banh mi, a nostalgic Monday-special grilled cheese bologna and more.

New Jersey regulators received five additional applications from gambling companies seeking to offer sports betting before football season starts in September, the Associated Press reported.

Longtime community advocate donates $13M for an art center in Beaverton (Renderings)
In a way, the $13 million donation that Pat Reser made to the Beaverton Arts Foundation this morning for a new art center can be traced back more than six decades.
