The Foo Fighters are returning to Cincinnati as the Seattle rock band released a new slate of stadium shows for summer 2024.

The restaurant chain said the expansion into Colorado is part of its long-term plan to scale the brand and open new locations across the country.

Welcome to Monday, loyal readers. Gov. Gavin Newsom has named Laphonza Butler to fill the U.S. Senate seat of Dianne Feinstein, who died last week at 90.

Butler, a former adviser to Kamala Harris, is president of EMILYs List, which calls itself “the nation's largest resource dedicated to electing Democratic pro-choice women to office.”

Foo Fighters will launch the return of concerts to the stadium with an August, 2024 show.

The location will feature a micro-distillery as well as a micro-brewery and wood-fired pizza.

“We are looking forward to the anticipated changes to our center, which we believe the community will also enjoy for years to come,” said Betty Patrick, property manager for Quarry Ponds Town Center, in an email.

Central Ohio lost several restaurants with a decade or more of business in the past few months.

A new program aims to support and celebrate some of Austin’s oldest local businesses this month.

The program, called Legacy Business Month, runs Oct. 1-30. Locals can pick up a free passport book and make stops at each of the 13 featured businesses, make a purchase and get a stamp on their passport, according to program host Preservation Austin.

Participants will compete for prizes and can go to a wrap party where more prizes will be given for the most stamps collected, according to the announcement.…
