The St. Paul City Council on Wednesday approved several amendments to the city's recently passed rent control measure that would exempt thousands of units from stringent price caps, with additional leeway given to newly constructed apartments going forward.

In addition to housing, the project aims to offer amenities attractive to remote workers, plus an incubator to serve entrepreneurs.

The property, located off Western Avenue, was acquired by another private equity firm.
