Developer proposes $37.7M, 14-building apartment project near Shelby Farms Park
A Birmingham-based apartment developer is planning to develop 267 more apartments on the edge of Shelby Farms Park.
Arlington Properties is seeking a tax break worth almost $600,000 to help them build the $37.7 million, 14-building project at 7620 Raleigh LaGrange Road.
The tax break would be through a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) program Memphis created in 2018 specifically for developers hurt by the city's sewer capacity issues.

CBRE buys Texas commercial real estate company
Los Angeles-based CBRE Group Inc. has acquired San Antonio-based REATA Real Estate.
“REATA complements our retail, office and medical office leasing and property management offering, as well as our investment properties and land brokerage business in San Antonio,” Michael Caffey, president of the South-Central Division and Latin America for CBRE Group, said in a news release.

The University of Hawaii is proposing to turn a metal warehouse in Wahiawa formerly owned by Tamura’s into a value-added product development center where students from Leeward Community College can develop the skills to become food-product entrepreneurs.
