Contractors got their first look at plans for the Cossitt Library’s renovation on Friday, Sept. 13, as the main piece of the project went out to bid.

But, the plans aren't for a typical library.

The renovation of the Cossitt — which is estimated to cost about $5 million, all told — will include a new cafe, courtyard, meeting spaces with river views, and recording studios.
