After more than a decade of planning, the owners of the Kaiser Center in Oakland are close to securing multiple approvals to modernize the complex with new office and/or residential towers.

It appears that Overland Park City Council members are having second thoughts about the once praised Metcalf Crossing project.

The city council voted Monday to delay a decision on the project's revised plan and special use permit until an Oct. 7 meeting, the Shawnee Mission Post reports. Incentives for the project previously were approved and include $2.6 million in tax increment financing and $3.1 million from a special sales tax.

Denver apartment deliveries have slowed in 2019, but the metro remains among the top U.S. markets for new apartment deliveries this year, according to RentCafé.

The apartment rental company projected 6,836 apartments would be delivered in the metro in 2019, including both new units and apartments slated for delivery by the end of the year.

The Residences at La Colombe d’Or, Hines’ 34-story multifamily tower standing behind the historic hotel of the same name in Montrose, celebrated a significant milestone Sept. 10. The Houston-based developer raised a 12-foot magnolia tree on the 33rd floor of the building to celebrate the tower topping out.

While much of the $140 million building remains under construction, Hines plans to begin delivering the building’s 265 units to residents by the second quarter of 2020.

Baltimore-area home sales and listings continued to drop in August even as the median sales price increased compared to a year ago.

Sales volume across the region was down 1.5% and active listings were down 4.2% from August 2018, the second month in a row of declining inventory after nine straight months of increases, according to data provided by MarketStats by ShowingTime based on listing activity from Bright MLS.
