Advancial Tower changes hands, making way new local HQ, DMN reports
First United Bank and Woodbine Development have purchased Advancial Tower and plan to use the high-rise as the Oklahoma-based bank’s Dallas headquarters, The Dallas Morning News reported.
The partnership bought the 17-story, 147,000-square-foot building located at Woodall Rodgers Freeway and Akard Street from a group headed by restaurateur and real estate investor Mike Karnes, which has owned the 35-year-old property since 2015, the News reported.

Insurer will buy prominent downtown Lawrence building
A large Kansas insurance company will buy the soon-to-be-former offices of The Lawrence Journal-World.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas has a deal to buy the newspaper offices at 645 New Hampshire St., The Journal-World reports. The deal does not include the newspaper’s print plant on the north end of the block.

Troubled city land office slated for takeover
The Philadelphia Land Bank is set to take over the Vacant Property Review Committee, a city office charged with reviewing sales of city-owned real estate. The VPRC's activities have been frozen after reports emerged of undervaluation of land and political interference in real estate deals involving the city.
Now, the VPRC is set for an operational takeover by a newer city department, established in 2015 as a central office for vetting buyer interest sales of city land, WHYY reports.
