Former title company executive gets prison for Kobra Properties fraud
The former title company executive who helped inflate property values for Kobra Properties a decade ago was sentenced Friday to more than four years in prison.
Mary Sue Weaver, 65, was sentenced by a federal court in Sacramento to four years and two months in prison and ordered to pay nearly $15.4 million in restitution for her part in a $22 million fraud scheme, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California.

The landmark retail and parking building in Honolulu’s Chinatown neighborhood known as Marks Garage has been sold to a Mainland-based real estate investment trust that isn’t planning big changes, according to one of the sellers.
