Affordable housing tops list of Denver worries in poll
Denver’s high cost of housing and lack of affordable alternatives appears to be city residents’ biggest concern, and a majority are likely to support some increase in property or sales taxes to fix the problem.
That’s the indication of a public opinion poll conducted last month on behalf of All In Denver, a non-profit public advocacy organization that focuses on urban sustainability issues.

SWBC purchases 21 acres outside Dallas for multifamily development
SWBC Real Estate LLC has purchased 21.3 acres in Rockwall, just outside of Dallas, for the development of The Remington at Rockwall Downes, a new 295-unit Class A multifamily property.
The Remington will be situated within Rockwall’s Technology Business Park, located about a quarter of a mile south of Interstate 30 at John King Boulevard. Zeppelin Station, a new RiNo work space, attracts tech and creative types with food hall
Zeppelin Development, a force in Denver’s mixed-use development scene, will soon open its latest office space, attracting tech and creative types to the four-story building in River North through their taste buds.
A food hall and public marketplace will be on the ground floor of Zeppelin Station, a 100,000-square-foot project set to open March 12. The upper floors will host 12 to 15 businesses.
“There’s a lot of momentum for RiNo right now,” said Kyle Zeppelin, co-owner of Zeppelin Development, during a tour of the building. “It’s in the headlines.”

A top Alexandria official expects Metro to award a contract before mid-year for the $268 million Potomac Yard Metro station, with the hope of opening the long-awaited facility within about four years.
