Charmery’s new Towson ice cream shop opening this weekend


The awning's up, the façade is painted and a hefty sculpture of an ice cream cone with cherry on top has been hoisted above the entrance to the Charmery's new Towson location. Now, it's just about ready to start serving scoops.

The ice cream shop with roots in Hampden will officially open its second store Saturday at noon, owners Laura and David Alima said Tuesday.

The build-up to opening day has been mostly hidden — until recently.
