Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra music director Eckart Preu extends contract through 2026 season


The Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra’s music director has signed a four-year contract extension.

The CCO board of trustees announced Friday that Eckart Preu, who has led the orchestra since October 2016, will continue in his role through the 2026 season.

During Preu’s tenure, CCO has boosted its Summermusik festival and partnered with organizations such as MadCap Puppets, Cincinnati Art Museum, CET and others.
