Dayton-area home sales jump 7 percent


In a further sign of Dayton's strong economy, area home sales continue to be brisk.

Local home sales climbed 7 percent in April, according to a Dayton Realtors (formerly DABR) report. A total of 1,415 single-family homes and condos changed hands last month. Overall sales volume for April hit $228.3 million, an increase of 10 percent from the previous year.

A healthy housing market is a sign of an overall healthy economy, which bodes well for the Miami Valley.
