Denver restaurateur Troy Guard going west to open 15th restaurant in his home state (Photos)


Denver restaurateur Troy Guard has signed a contract to open his second out-of-state restaurant in a very special place — his home state of Hawaii.

Guard will debut a 6,000-square-foot, yet-to-be-named seafood restaurant on the island of Maui sometime in 2020. It will be the 15th restaurant in his now-10-year-old empire.

TAG Restaurant Group, Guard’s ownership company, will venture beyond the borders of Colorado (and, for that matter the Denver area) for the first time this fall, when he opens…
