El Camino Hospital affiliate makes bid for 5 Verity Health clinics


Silicon Valley Medical Development, an affiliate of El Camino Hospital, wants to acquire five of the eight clinics owned by Verity Health Systems, it announced Saturday.

The development comes two weeks after Verity issued a WARN notice to 157 employees of the clinics, which operate under the banner of San Jose Medical Group, saying that because of Verity's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, they would be out of work unless a buyer came forward.
