Frank Lloyd Wright home in KC sells for nearly $1M: Slideshow


The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed and -renovated Sondern-Adler house, 3600 Belleview Ave. in Kansas City, sold for just under $1 million to a bidder from Nebraska.

According to The Kansas City Star, the winning bidder is set to pay $920,000 for the 80-year-old house after Dallas-based Heritage Auctions conducted a no-reserve auction Monday afternoon.

A Heritage Auctions spokesman told the Star that the name of the new owner is being withheld, but that "he intends to keep it as a gem for Kansas City."
