Makena beachfront home sells for $14M, highest price for Maui so far in 2019

A gated beachfront estate in Makena has sold to an undisclosed buyer for $14 million, the highest price so far this year for a single-family home on Maui.

The 5,680-square-foot, four-bedroom home on a one-acre lot at 7555 Makena Road, called Hale Imi Ola, had been listed for $16 million.

Mark Waite of the SoMa Island Living team at Elite Pacific Properties, represented the seller, MMR Makena LLC, which had purchased the one-acre lot in 2005 for $3.2 million and built the custom home in 2015.
