Kim Despres finds missing link in caring for the sickest of the sick


After a decades-long career as a registered nurse, Kim Despres felt something was missing.

About that same time, she got a call from the CEO of Circle the City, asking if she knew of any registered nurses who might want to be a program manager at the Phoenix nonprofit that provides health care to those facing homelessness.

At that point, Despres had been working for about 10 years at Phoenix-based Banner Health, the largest health system in the state.
