Legislature 2019: Ways and Means sends Medicaid package to Oregon House floor


The Medicaid funding package advanced out of the Joint Committee on Ways and Mean and now heads to the House floor.

Two Republicans on the committee expressed concerns about the impact of the proposed premium tax on small businesses. On the other hand, they said they recognized the need to support smaller hospitals in rural counties, where close to a third of the population is on Medicaid.
