Local caterers generate $71.5 million in off-site sales volume (Photos)


St. Louis may be nationally acclaimed for its restaurants, but it also has a thriving catering scene.

The 18 businesses that responded to the St. Louis Business Journal's annual Caterers survey earned a combined $71.53 million in local off-site sales. Companies ranged from the nationwide chain McAlister's Deli to the small, local Winslow's Home & Farm.

Off-site sales for the 18 caterers grew 1.9 percent, up from $70.19 million in 2016. This is level with the annual U.S. catering industry growth…
