After several years without a standalone location, Otto’s Barbecue and Hamburgers is plotting a comeback.

The longtime brand — which currently has three stores in downtown towers — recently submitted plans to the Houston Planning Commission to build a restaurant, catering kitchen and barbecue pit at the former site of Luke’s Ice House at 903 Durham Drive, just south of Washington Avenue.
