McDonald’s ousted CEO walking away with hefty severance package


McDonald’s CEO Steve Easterbrook was fired from the Chicago-based burger behemoth on Friday, but he is leaving the company with a sizable severance package, according to a Securities and Exchange (SEC) filing released Monday.

Easterbrook will received 26 weeks of base pay as part of his severance package, a sum that could total in the neighborhood of $675,000, per his termination agreement with McDonald’s board.
