Mebane is getting its first Chick-Fil-A


The Mebane City Council has paved the way for the city's first Chick-fil-A.

Mark Tiller, a development partner with Atlanta-based Hendon Properties, asked the council July 9 to rezone a tract of land on Mebane Oaks Road next to a Wendy's for a new restaurant – a request the council approved.

Mebane Mayor Glendel Stephenson told Triad Business Journal that no one named the restaurant leading up to and during the meeting.
