New details, renderings of $94M diamond plant emerge after groundbreaking in Gresham (Photos)


Not long after announcing that it would build a $94 million synthetic diamond manufacturing plant, Element Six has officially broken ground on the project and set it in motion.

At a groundbreaking ceremony this week, officials from the company, the Port of Portland and the city of Gresham turned the ceremonial dirt to kick off construction of the 60,000-square-foot facility. The building should be complete by August 2019, with operations commencing in 2020.
