New restaurant planned for old metro Bham fire station

New life will soon be breathed into an old fire station in metro Birmingham.

The former Chelsea Fire Station on Chesser Drive will be redeveloped for a fire station-themed restaurant, according to the Shelby County Reporter.

The city of Chelsea recently approved the building for sale.

Mayor Tony Picklesimer declined to reveal project details but said work would get underway soon.
