NIH pumping millions into ovarian cancer research


The National Institutes of Health has awarded a collaborative group including the Mays Cancer Center at UT Health San Antonio and Alamo City-based biopharma company Evestra Inc. $3.3 million to jointly research and develop a new ovarian cancer drug.

The Academic Industry Partnership grant is the first of its kind for UT Health San Antonio and could trigger more collaborative medical research in the Alamo City.
