One of Newport on the Levee’s original tenants closes


One of the original tenants at Newport on the Levee is closing.

Bar Louie, which has been a part of the mixed-use development since it opened in 2002, is closing. Wednesday, May 1 will be Bar Louie’s last day.

Tim Perry, chief investment officer for North American Properties, said Bar Louie’s closing was a mutual decision. The bar and restaurant occupies about 8,000 square feet of space in the enclosed building at the Levee that also houses AMC Theaters and Dewey’s Pizza.
