As rising interest rates began to impact housing sales in the third quarter, only two Milwaukee-area municipalities made the latest Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors list of the "hottest" communities for home sales. Both places had more housing units sold in a faster period of time and for more money, on average, in the first nine months of 2022 compared with the same timeframe of 2021.
