Penalties for 11 WNY hospitals for readmissions


The number of Western New York hospitals facing penalties for patient readmissions continues to decline, though 11 hospitals are still targeted for funding cuts.

That’s according to a new analysis by Kaiser Health News, which has tracked penalties over the past six years for thousands of hospitals tied to the Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program, which began in 2012 as part of the Affordable Care Act.
