Peter’s Pub in Oakland to close after almost 50 years

Peter's Pub in Oakland will be making its last toast.

The business, owned by the Leventis family, is closing at the end of the month after 44 years in business on Oakland Avenue, according to the Post-Gazette.

"Friendships were made and memories created. In this most important way we have accomplished what we set out to do 44 years ago," said a Facebook post by the bar's ownership on Wednesday.

Last day in operation for Peter's Pub will be May 25, featuring half-price food and drinks.
