Radian takeover talks reportedly squashed by potential deal price


Radian Group had discussions about being acquired by an investor group last week before talks broke down over a potential deal price, according to a Friday story from Bloomberg.

Radian (NYSE: RDN) declined comment. But the Bloomberg story said the investor group included New York investment firms Apollo Global Management and Centerbridge Partners as well as Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, which owns 2.4 percent of the Philadelphia-based mortgage insurer.
