Texas real estate agents must now respond to inquiries within 2 days


The Texas Real Estate Commission, which is responsible for enforcing the rule, in late August issued guidance on how agents could follow the two-day response policy. It notes that agents must respond within two calendar days, which includes holidays and weekends, and that responses can be simple acknowledgement via phone call, text message or email, among other forms of communication.
