The Choptank updates dress code amid criticism, sets opening date


The Choptank is keeping a controversial dress code as it prepares to open Thursday, but representatives for the upscale seafood house say they've made some tweaks to the policy's wording in response to public concern.

The restaurant, the latest addition to the Baltimore-based Atlas Restaurant Group's portfolio, will open to the public at 11 a.m. on Sept. 19. At the entrance, a list of "House Rules" will take the place of a previously posted roster of "strictly prohibited" accessories and attire.…
