The List: Registered Investment Advisors in the Wichita-area

The Registered Investment Advisors list is a new list as of 2022. This list was made to distinguish the differences between financial advisors identifying as “broker/dealers” and those following “fiduciary” standards. This list contains those identifying as fiduciary advisors. “Fiduciary” is a term indicating the advisor puts the investing party’s best interests ahead of their own. The Wichita Business Journal uses licensing to determine which list best suits each financial advising firm. For the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) list, we used series 65 licensing. This is the most common license held by fiduciary-based advisors. Information was obtained from firm representatives. Information on The List was supplied by individual companies through questionnaires and could not be independently verified by the Wichita Business Journal. Only those that responded to our inquiries were listed. In case of ties, companies are ranked by number of series 65 licensed advisors, then alphabetically.
