Airbnb Inc., the world’s largest short-term rental service, is pulling some of the potential fireworks from this Fourth of July weekend, enacting a permanent party ban on its online rental listings globally.

The regulation follows a temporary ban on all parties and events the company put in place in August 2020 to stem the spread of Covid-19 infections, reports Beth Treffeisen with Boston Business Journal. The temporary ban, the company said, proved effective in halting unwanted parties.
