Thousands of runners buzz into downtown for Queen Bee Half Marathon: PHOTOS


More than 6,000 participants turned out Saturday morning for the 5th annual Queen Bee Half Marathon, a female-themed race hosted by the Flying Pig Marathon.

Both the half marathon and the 4-miler reached full capacity this year, with 3,500 registrants for the 13.1-mile race and 2,500 for the shorter run.

Runners were treated to chilly temperatures along on the route, which started near Jack Cincinnati Casino and headed east through the neighborhoods of Mount Adams, Hyde Park and Columbia Tusculum…
