Tom Henderson charged with defrauding foreign investors of more than $110M


Embattled Oakland businessman Tom Henderson was indicted by a federal grand jury for his alleged role in a $110 million investor fraud scheme involving federal EB-5 visas and arrested Tuesday morning.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California charged Henderson, 70, and two associates, 40-year-old Kexing Hu (also known as Peter Hu) and 42-year-old Cooper Lee, with several counts of conspiracy and wire fraud.
