UAB's new freestanding emergency department and medical complex in Gardendale will begin serving patients on Jan. 15.
The twin buildings, which resides on a 6.2-acre site off Gardendale's primary commercial corridor, will provide access to UAB medical professionals for residents in northern Jefferson County.
