Academy Bank opens drive-up video teller sites


Kansas City-based Academy Bank wants to improve access for customers, but it’s not building expensive branches. Instead, it’s investing in drive-up video banking teller sites.

Academy Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dickinson Financial Corp., a $2.5 billion bank holding company that also owns Armed Forces Bank. The new drive-up video banking sites are being branded as Academy Express.

The first two locations are at 10820 Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee and at 13218 W. 87th St. in Lenexa.…
