Menlo Park to get new restaurant from big time chef
A new high-end restaurant with a distinguished chef is on its way to Menlo Park, reports Eater SF.
Run by chef Greg Kuzia-Carmel, the restaurant — named Camper — promises “season menus, craft cocktails, and warm hospitality,” on its website. Kuzia-Carmel made his reputation working with Thomas Keller at Per Se in New York City. In San Francisco, he worked with Michael Tusk at Cotogna and Quince.
Camper will take a space at 898 Santa Cruz Ave. formerly filled by LB Steak.

Downtown Nashville getting new doughnut spot
North Carolina-based Rise Biscuits Donuts has picked a location for its first Nashville franchise.
Nashville Post reports that the chain will open at 147 Fifth Ave. N., inside the mixed-use building adjacent to Tony Giarratana’s 505 tower.
The Post reports that Rise officials declined to say when the eatery will open. Rise announced an agreement with franchisee Fred Fordin in 2017 to bring the chain to Tennessee.
Nestle strikes $7.15B deal to sell Starbucks products
Nestle announced Monday a $7.15 billion agreement with Starbucks to sell the coffee giant’s consumer and foodservice products globally, outside of Starbucks stores.
“This transaction is a significant step for our coffee business, Nestle's largest high-growth category,” Nestle CEO Mark Schneider said in a statement. “With Starbucks, Nescafé and Nespresso we bring together three iconic brands in the world of coffee.”
