A new pasta bar is under development for a riverfront space in downtown Milwaukee.
Alvaro Niño de Guzman Sr. and his son, Alvaro Niño de Guzman Jr. are creating a new dining spot called Tua Pasta. The restaurant will be at 100 E. Wisconsin Ave., where the former John Hawks Pub previously operated. The pub closed in 2016 after more than four decades in business.

Three brothers have teamed up to transform the former Ruins Pub space into an “upscale casual” restaurant that focuses on sports and beer. One of the biggest perks of the space was inheriting the self-serve beer bar, which features 40 beers on tap.
