Starbucks plans to close one of its Milwaukee locations effective Oct. 26.

A sign posted at the Seattle-based café chain’s shop at 1677 N. Farwell St. at the busy corner of Farwell and Brady streets indicates the store will close permanently in a few weeks.

The third local installment of Le Dîner en Blanc was held Oct. 6 at the Sacramento Zoo and attracted 1,800 people, according to organizers.

Billed as a “pop-up picnic,” the event was created in Paris 30 years ago and is now held in nearly 80 cities worldwide. Guests don't know the location of the big party in advance. The event requires them to wear all white, bring their own picnic materials and take care of their own leftovers and trash.
