Dolce and Amaro Artisan Italian Bakery will open Sept. 5 at Westover Gallery of Shops, according to the News & Record.

Georges Haidon, former executive chef at the world-renowned Maisonette restaurant, died Aug. 23 at his Anderson Township residence. He was 87.
Haidon was born and raised in Liège, Belgium. He graduated with great distinctions from the culinary school l'Ecole d'Hôtellerie of Liège.
