Dolce and Amaro Artisan Italian Bakery will open Sept. 5 at Westover Gallery of Shops, according to the News & Record.

The bakery will serve French and Italian pastries, including croissants, brioche, tortes and personal-sized cakes, as well as coffee and espresso drinks.

Georges Haidon, former executive chef at the world-renowned Maisonette restaurant, died Aug. 23 at his Anderson Township residence. He was 87.
