Here are 10 new residential developments proposed around metro Atlanta
August residential sales in the 11-county metro Atlanta area totaled 5,299, down 4.6 percent from the same month a year earlier, Atlanta REALTORS reports.
The organization says a tightening inventory is continuing to boost sales prices in the metro area. The average sales price of a home in August was up 3% over August 2018, while the metro area's housing inventory totaled 14,917 units in August 2019, up a little less than 1% from the same month a year before.

The home’s address in Palo Alto makes it typical of the luxury homes ($3 million-plus) sold so far this year, as six of the county's 10 most expensive sales of 2019 have been in that city.

Photos: Houston CEO’s mansion listed at $29.5M
The CEO of a Houston-based insurance holding company has put his Memorial-area mansion on the market, with an asking price of $29.5 million.
The property is owned by Stephen Way, the founder and CEO of Houston International Insurance Group. Way declined to comment on the listing. Laura Sweeney of John Daugherty Realtors is handling the listing of 120 Carnarvon Drive.

Florida apartment developer to make Nashville debut
A development site in Bellevue has been sold to a Florida-based firm.
Nashville Post reports that Ram Realty Advisors paid $3.1 million for the 200-acre property, which is located off Old Hickory Boulevard, near Eagle Ridge at The Reserve.
The Post reports that Ram Realty plans to develop 323 units and preserve almost 160 acres of the site. This is Ram Realty’s first project in Nashville.
