The top 20 most expensive home sales in the Triad for July, August and September totaled nearly $28.9 million, according to research by Triad Business Journal.

A South Carolina multifamily investment firm has bought two metro Atlanta apartment communities for nearly $133 million.
Blaze Partners LLC of Charleston, S.C., picked up Stadium Walk, a four-story, 309-unit community within walking distance of the Battery Atlanta and SunTrust Park in Cobb County, and Overlook at Huntcrest, a 299-unit garden apartment community located in Suwanee in Gwinnett County.

Bankruptcy puts 37,000 acres of West Texas up for sale
A 37,000-acre West Texas ranch is up for sale after a federal bankruptcy court ordered the sale of the property and all of its assets.
KC7 Ranch near Balmorhea in the Davis Mountains will be liquidated, according to a release from Icon Global Group, the Dallas-based brokerage firm overseeing the property’s sale.
The ranch’s water, mineral and surface fee simple rights are included in the deal.

Two years after fatal fire, plans for nine-story Mission redevelopment in motion
After a fatal fire back in 2015, one Mission parcel is looking for a second life as a nine-story development.
The former three-story building at the northwest corner of Mission and 22nd Streets was devastated by a fire that killed one person and left 60 others homeless. The blaze caused $8.6 million in damage to a structure containing both residential and commercial spaces, as well as a Popeye's on the corner, according to KQED.

New data shows Philadelphia renter spike sharper than other big cities
Over the last decade, Philadelphia saw a rise in rentership well above the national average, and higher than most of the nation’s other large cities, according to new data released Tuesday by APM Research Lab and Marketplace.
The percent of Philly households renting shot up by more than 6 points between 2006 and 2016, to 47.9 percent. That jump was bigger than the national increase of 4.2 percent, and the third largest among the nation’s 10 most populous cities.
