Long-awaited restaurant opens in Chelsea in old fire station


A new restaurant has opened in Chelsea on Chesser Road.

Station 31 Kitchen started serving food in May after the renovation of an old fire station.

Chef Jeff Webster and his wife Misty transformed the abandoned building into the eatery over the past year after successfully transforming an old bus station into a the restaurant Main Street Tavern in Montevallo.

The Chelsea restaurant has a concept similar to the one in Montevallo.
