This contraption may be the answer to Yolo County’s cannabis odor concerns


As Yolo County's recreational cannabis market takes shape, some residents are turning up their noses at marijuana cultivation in their backyard.

To placate their concerns, county officials have drawn up a draft cannabis land use ordinance that includes an entire section on odor assessment and control. The ordinance would rely on objective benchmarks for assessing odors from cannabis cultivators. The way they plan to measure those smells? Something called the Nasal Ranger.
